Photos of Proclamation being giving to the Japanese American National Museum to honor Keiko Fukuda, the only woman to be promoted to 10th Dan in judo prior to her passing last February. The brief ceremony was held last Sunday and pictured is Eiko Shepherd – Fukuda’s protégée, John Esaki – Director of the Media Arts Center of Japanese American National Museum, and Gary Goltz – Representative for LA Councilmember Tom LaBonge and President of the U.S. Judo Association.
