Sensei Janet Johnson

Janet Johnson has become one of the most visible and prominent senseis and referees in the country, with a long career in teaching judo informed by her professional educator credentials, her parallel career as a primary school teacher, and refereeing nationally and internationally as an IJF-A level referee for 16 years. She has also been active in the administration of the USJF as a long-time board member, with particular expertise in the promotional system.
